I Still love to come to this site its so cool!My fathers name is Faustino matamoros Serrato,his sisters are Jenny(deceased),Vel,Jessie,Connie,&brothers...twins Juan(deceased),Jose(died)at birth..and Ray(cuco),David,Louie.We had a family reunion a year and a half ago we met a few Hurtados from porterville who we are related to. My siblings are Vincent,Tino jr.,David,and my sister Stacey.There are so many Serratos!We all must be related somehow!

My grandparents names are Refugio Hurtado Serrato & Maria Talamantez Matamoros Serrato.My grandma was born in El paso, Texas in 1906.I think my grandpa was born in Mexico maybe in Jalisco or Matamoros,he was born in 1888.Hurtado was his mothers maiden name. Although my last name is "Serrata" I would like to add our lineage to your web page. The most interesting story I have discovered was when I learned that my great grandfather (three times removed) travelled the ocean from France. He was a young boy traveling with his parents and another couple. An epidemic spread throughout the ship and my grandfather's parents passed away. It turns out that OUR family name was originally SAENZ. The couple that they were traveling with were SERRATA. This couple took him in, hence, the beginning of our family as SERRATA. My father's aunt shared this story with me the evening before I was to return to the states. She lived in Chihuahua, Chihuahua. I spent three weeks with her visiting/meeting family in Camargo, Chihuahua. She decided to share the story because of my dedication with pencil and paper writing down as much information as I could on family members.

Mi padre fu� Manuel Serrato Espinoza, naci� el 2 de Agosto de 1915 en kingsville, Texas eso tengo entendido, no se mucho de su familia y me gustar�a contactarme con alguien. Su padre se llam� Manuel Serrato Calvo y mi abuela fu� Abigail Espinoza tuvieron 3 hijos Manuel mi padre, mi t�a Yolanda de quien no se nada y mi t�a Emma quien tuvo 2 hijos Alberto y Lourdes a ellos los conoc� como en 1967 en M�xico, D.F. y desde entonces no s� de ellos. Hi there! Like your website a lot. I found it while putting together a site for my own family tree. Our name is "Agredano" and like yours, is a very unique surname. But my genealogy search has also been difficult. There are quite a few Agredanos in the U.S., but I am having a hard time connecting our tree to others'. I noticed that you have the same kind of "family crest/name definition" document that my family has. Just to warn you, this crest may be incorrect. I recently traveled to Agreda, Spain, to try to retrace our tree from there, and found that the crest we originally thought was for "Agredano" was totally different from the actual Agredano crest in Agreda. TOTALLY. I think that those surname documents are for pure entertainment and cannot be held as absolute truth. So be leery. Good luck to you in your search! P.S.
