Comments I don't know anything about your website however, I have been looking for someone by the name of Artie Jochman for about 10 years. My husband and I were good friends with him and he just sort of disappeard. In your message board or guest book someone wrote "I spoke to Artie Jochman". I was wondering if it was the same Artie we would really like to get in touch with him. If anyone knows Artie Jochman and he worked for Delta Air Lines for many years and lived in atlanta for many years. Comments Hey Jackie! Sorry but records are made to be broken. I left GHS in December of '66 after two great years in the UP. So I guess I am the oldest to post a comment in this guestbook for a while anyway. You would think that some of those good folks we knew way back when would post a comment now and then on this website. I know Val Sardini would if he could spell. I would love to hear from some of our classmates from that era too. Where are you Randy Larson? You too Chris Palesotti. I know where the von der Hoffs are. What about you John Eisenhart or Bill Jaeger? How about Linda Fillizetti or Vicky Erickson? You guys can not all be dead. Some of you must still be kicking. Please get off your bottoms and contact Jackie or myself. The 100 year Gwinn celebration party is next year. It would be a great time for us to get together and talk about the ones who don't show up. We are talking serious gossip here. I know where some of the bodies are buried but not all. How about it?????

Comments I hope everyone enjoyed the 4th celebration. From what I hear, it was a big hit. I also heard that the town looks great, being restored to it's original luster. Wish I could have been there. I still haven't ruled out a return trip this summer (we'll see how gas prices and airline fares go), but should be home, for sure, next summer for our 20th reunion (GHS class of 89). I would love to hear from old friends even though I have connected with many via Myspace. Hope everyone is well!

Comments Was stationed At KI from Jan '78 thru August '81 met and made friends with at lot of great people and had probably the best experience of my life.I did not know it at the time.Fished the Escanaba river with Mike Mayer fish shag lakes and many others also.Also fishe the Dead reiver for salmon.Would love to hear from anyone whom I served with.My oldest son is currently a Marine still in training,not infantry,in Florida.Say a prayer for all our troops.charleswhoolery@yahoo.com

He moved his junior year.(81-82) He died March 6th 1998 in Alaska, where he lived with his wife and child. We are making a memory scrapbook for his son, who was 5yrs old at the time of his death. Gwinn High School Class of 1989 Reunion August 7th and 8th, 2009 Schedule of Events: Friday, August 7th 3:00-5:00 Gwinn High School will be open for tours 6:00-12:00 Social at UpNorth Lodge; light refreshments will be provided Saturday, August 8th 11:00-4:00: Picnic by the Lake, Marquette, MI As a result of our rental of the Lakeview Arena for our main event, we have access to the arena from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. With the unpredictability of Upper Peninsula weather, it would be convenient for us to plan a family event near a place where we could go in case it rains! The beach across the street from Lakeview Arena is convenient, has bathrooms, a playground area and grills. It will be a "bring your own" picnic, but a good time for us to meet loved ones, give the kids a chance to play and allow everyone a chance to enjoy the magnificent lake. Comments Check out our website home page for updated Clock Tower Info. Our Webmaster is working on putting additional pictures on in the next few weeks ..that part is still under construction. We have raised $71,325 of the $85,000 needed to complete this project. The Brickwork has been tedious during this out of the ordinary cold winter we have been enduring causing additional expenses. We are still soliciting donations and appreciate any help or amount individuals wish to contribute and we thank you in advance. Comments The October 2013 Issue of the Gwinn Quarterly Newspaper is now available for viewing on our website www.gwinnmi.com This issue is devoted to the Clock Tower Restoration Project. The two sections are built and will be erected on Thursday Nov. 7th by a large crane and bricking will begin next week. Thank you to all who have donated to this project in the past and we hope that now it is actually going up we will receive additional donations for the rising material costs that we have experienced.
