I have personally met Lori Porter as I had requested that she come to my facility and help to motivate and lessen the burnout for my CNA's. After spending one hour with my CNA's, she assisted them to a higher level. Since my days of having been a DON in five facilities, I am now a CNA Instructor. I also am attempting to begin my own consulting business. BRAVO on your new website...just wish I could convince my students to join NAGNA...any suggestions?

I left nursing home administration to b/c a geriatric massage therapist. It is the greatest thing I have ever done. Appropriate touch and massage are such an important part of care. I was pleased to find info about the website when I returned home from a training. It is a great site.

I am proud to be part of this movement. This site is a great resource. As you know we used Laverne as our consultant she and her team are extremely valuable. Linda Bump was our administrator and she and LaVerne guided us in the culture change process. Common sense tells you this is right, self actualization and a good change consultant like LaVerne will bring you there. LTC in Bigfork is a community based family model with the challenge of life. What a great opportunity meeting the social lives of our seniors. Good Luck to everyone.

I am with the Senior Resource Alliance, the area agency on aging for Central Florida. Part of my job is providing staff support to the Florida Pioneer Network.
